Rarely in modern music does a Singer/Songwriter emerge with a Debut Album which can be described as truly original? “Dust, Doors and Debt” by Peter Matthew Kasen, released by Smoking Frog Productions on April 3rd 2008, is such an offering.

Combining flawless polyrhythmic guitar parts with deep probing lyrics, this Album presents the listener with ten songs, which are both original and deeply emotional, written with feeling, care and delicacy.

Described by “Pop Child” magazine as being from the Nick Drake lineage, Peter Matthew Kasen has built up a massive worldwide fan base over the last two years through his Myspace.com site, backed up by continuous touring through the Western United States, playing shows from Portland, Oregon to Phoenix, Arizona, including such notable venues as Johnny Depp’s Viper Room, The Green Room in Portland and B.B King’s in Universal City.

He will be supporting this release with a two month Tour of the Eastern U.S. followed by a three month Tour of the U.K., Scandinavia and Europe.

Peter Matthew Kasen was first the Singer, Songwriter, and Guitarist of "Propel", which began in May of 2005, in an apt in Berkeley, CA.

After 2 years, and a summer, Peter has made the decision, to be known by his birth name, as a solo artist.

Having played over 260 shows in two and a half years, Peter has covered everywhere from Los Angeles to Seattle, and into Arizona. Completing 7 D.I.Y Tours, which were self funded.

 Peter self released the first ep, "A year worth forgetting", and then got signed in October of 2006 to Indie Record Label, Muted Records, who subsequently released his second ep, in Dec of 2006, entitled "Antique Scars".

Peter's songs have been featured in 3 Compilations to date, as well as used in 4 Movies, as of 2007.

In November 2007, Peter signed to Smoking Frog Productions.
